About Winn’s
We are a locally owned restaurant on the north side of the Indianola square, with a second location in Norwalk.
The menu is wide on purpose: homemade pizza crust and sauce, USDA choice steaks from the charcoal grill, authentic gyros, handmade egg rolls and crab rangoon, and an all-you-can-eat salad bar.
We do carry-out on anything on our menu. Our Indianola location also has a party room for big groups.
A guy walks in and eats. He says, “Great food, great service.” We ask where he is from. “Indiana. My friend from the Obama campaign told me if I am ever in Iowa, go to Winn’s Pizza and Steakhouse!”
Our People
“Enter as strangers, leave as friends.” It is on the sign above our counter, and we mean it.
Winn has been in the restaurant business for more than 35 years. Today he and Sara run the kitchen with a team that gets to know our regulars by name, and usually their order too.
You can also find Winn and Sara’s Kitchen at the Iowa State Fair. It won Best New Food in 2024 and 2025, and was a top-three finalist in 2026.
